• IFRM returns to the country of Georgia to follow up on donations during 2011.

Letter from City:

It's a great honor for me to greet you and express my appreciation for the generous donation to Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region by the IFRM and the authorities of Dodge Center, Mn.

The fire engine together with its fire-fighting equipment and supplies was delivered to the Mtskheta Municipality Fire and Rescue Team

Once again I want to appreciate you greatly for your support and hope that you will inform us the details of you and our Dodge Center friends' visit in Georgia.

Mtskheta City Administrator

• Donated equipment arrives safely

Mr. Gruening, with your help let me also express my gratitude to Mrs. Shannen McClelland, of ATS, with whose great efforts and professionalism the Fire Engine was delivered safely to customs at (Poti Port) Georgia.

• Supporting American Firefighters

Mr. Gruening, I want to recollect the great pain that was caused due to the Act of Terrorism taken place in the USA of September 11, 2001. It was not the pain only for American people, but it was the great pain for everybody. Unfortunately, together with thousands of victims, 343 firefighters from New York died heroically performing their job during the act of terrorism. I would like to use this chance and express a desire of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Administration

• To Erect a Symbolic Monument

During the next visit of our American friends, our firefighters have established in Mtskheta a Memorial Square as a commemoration of Firefighters from New York who died during the Act of Terrorism. In the square a symbolic monument will also be erected. I hope that together with the act of Mtskheta the IFRM and Dodge Center FD our action will become one more proof of friendship between American and Georgian people.

The IFRM looks forward to ongoing relations..
